Adrian Malasig is an emerging student filmmaker currently studying BA Film at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. In 2020, he started using the visual medium as a way to express and live life through editing various videos for different platforms and creators, catching the audience’s eye in the abstract. As a young freelancer, social media became his playground to push creativity and networking all around the globe. Creating diverse videos to diverge to a single goal: “challenge to take action.”

Picking up his first camera in 2025, he started his filming and photography journey in the backyard of his own world-view. Capturing emotions that provoke change and stories that inspire collective growth, especially commentaries and narratives that need to be given the spotlight. Turning the mundane and the unnoticed, to something unforgettable. Empowering observers and artists to take the active role.

Currently, alongside his studies, he continues to take active roles in productions mainly as a director, cinematographer, and editing supervisor, paving and molding his own filmmaking voice. Adrian believes that the camera (alongside media) is single-handedly the most important tool in societal change and there is a need for it to be stressed enough, especially in a country not given justice to any artists.
